Dear [MS’s Name],

I am writing as a constituent to ask you to support the restoration of beaver populations and healthier, more natural rivers across Wales.

Beavers are a native Welsh species and can play an important role in creating wetlands, restoring habitats and supporting healthier river ecosystems.

The Welsh Government is currently developing a Welsh Beaver Strategy and framework for their managed reintroduction. I would like to see an ambitious, evidence-based strategy that supports the return of beavers to suitable catchments while working with local communities, farmers and landowners.

Could you please let me know whether you support the managed reintroduction of beavers in Wales and what steps you would be willing to take to support it?

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Kind regards,
